MoCA technology makes it possible to connect your home data network to your in-home coax cable. Since an in-home coax cable is connected to the external cable network, the MoCA-signal can carry your network signal outside the home. Although not very likely, when your neighbours are also using a MoCA adapter, it may be possible for them to connect to your home network. To avoid this risk and to secure your network, you should install a Point-of-Entry filter (POEF) where the coax cable enters the home. Installing a POE-filter also prevents signal conflicts with other MoCA networks, and improves your MoCA network’s performance. The POEF 1006 is easy to install.
